I knew very well she avoided looking at me. Captivated by her reading - at least, she made seeming - she made a point of avoiding this conversation. However, it was inevitable, just like death. I observed her in silence, watching for a reaction, or the signal she was ready to listen to me. Long minutes passed during which I had patience. She sighed. Feeling my insistent glance, she posed her book and measured me in silence, calm and nervous at the same time, suspecting what I was going to say to her.
It was the signal.
“Well, your book seems fascinating, started I with a peaceful voice.
- You know very well it’s not, she answered, slightly aggravated. Come in to the fact please. ”
